Terms of Service

Effective: May 19, 2026

By creating an account or using sniplab.io ("SnipLab", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. What SnipLab is

SnipLab is a code snippet editor that lets you save, share, and collaborate on code in real time. Features include file and folder management, version history, and configurable link-based sharing.

2. Your account

  • You must be 13 or older to use SnipLab.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You may not create accounts for the purpose of abuse, spam, or circumventing suspensions.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of all code and text you create in SnipLab. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content solely as needed to operate the Service (e.g., saving to our database, broadcasting real-time updates to your collaborators).

You are solely responsible for the content you create and share. Do not store passwords, private keys, or other sensitive credentials in SnipLab snippets.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SnipLab to:

  • Store or distribute malware, exploits, or content that violates any law.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to SnipLab systems or other users' files.
  • Abuse the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Sharing and permissions

When you enable a share link or grant another user edit access, you are responsible for the content accessible through that link. You can revoke access at any time from the Share dialog.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep SnipLab available but do not guarantee any specific uptime. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnipLab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post changes here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using SnipLab at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
